Festival SALVIA 2010 se je zaključil. Od prvega do zadnjega dne so z nami dihali številni prostovoljci, ki so na tem festivalu pustili največji pečat. Združili so moči in uredili vse potrebno, da so se udeleženci počutili prijetno in brezskrbno in seveda, da je dogajanje na festivalu gladko teklo.

Prostovoljci MEDIA, v katero so bili vključeni novinarji, fotografi, prevajalci in oblikovalci, so za udeležence in za gledalce pripravljali dnevne novice, v katerih so pisali o dogajanjih na festivalu in prihajajočih dogodkih. Vse to si lahko ogledate v priponkah, ki so označene od # 1 do # 7.

Naj omenimo še to, da so novice pisali gluhi sami, zato je verjetno nekaj slovničnih napak, za kar se opravičujemo.

Spoštovani obiskovalci in umetniki na festivalu “SALVIA”!

Evropski festival kulture in umetnosti gluhih “SALVIA” poteka vsako drugo leto v drugi  državi. Ob zaključku 5. festivala “SALVIA” v Belgiji leta 2008 so Slovenijo izbrali za organizacijo naslednjega festivala SALVIA 2010.  To je prvi evropski festival umetnosti in kulture gluhih v naši mali državi Sloveniji.

Predstavili se nam bodo gluhi evropski umetniki, ki bodo gluhim, naglušnim in slišečim prikazali kulturo gluhih, ki je bogata na svoj način. Gluhi umetniki se izražajo z mimiko in gibi  telesa in nam tako posredujejo vsebine in bistvo svoje umetniške ustvarjalnosti.

Kultura gluhih je zelo zanimiva še zaradi ene posebnosti. Most v komunikaciji med gluhimi iz različnih držav predstavlja mednarodna kretnja, ob kateri gluhi dopolnjujejo svoje izražanje z mimiko in gibi telesa.

Verjamemo, da bo naš festival marsikomu z okvaro sluha in mnogim slišečim spremenil pogled na svet okoli sebe; dojeli bodo, kaj je kultura gluhih in zakaj gluhi tako radi ustvarjajo svoje gledališke predstave, ki so namenjene vsem.

Gluhi umetniki se bodo v času festivala udeležili dopoldanskih delavnic pantomime, poezije, plesa in gledališča, večerno dogajanje pa nam bodo popestrili z gledališkimi predstavami.

Publiki se bo predstavilo 13  gledaliških skupin iz Evrope s približno 80 udeleženci iz naslednjih držav: Litva, Estonija, Hrvaška, Italija, Nemčija, Španija, po dve skupini iz Češke in Belgije, Grčija, Izrael in Slovenija. Poleg izmed teh naštetih evropskih držav se bodo tudi predstavile 4 slovenska društva.

V festivalskem dogajanju bo v ospredju kultura gluhih, izražena skozi različne zvrsti: gledališče, poezijo, vizualno umetnost, komedijo in ples. Želimo si, da bi vse to nekoč preraslo v pravo “umetniško četrt”, v kateri bomo gluhi lahko vedno znova oživljali občutke skupnosti, solidarnosti in ustvarjalnosti.

Naš festival bo edinstven dogodek v Sloveniji, tako za gluhe in naglušne, kot tudi za vse ostale udeležence.

The SALVIA 2010 Festival has come to an end. From the first to the very last day there was always a significant number of volunteers who gave the Festival its character. By joining their forces they managed to arrange everything necessary for the Festival to run smoothly and to make the participants from abroad comfortable.

A group of 'MEDIA volunteers' that included journalists, photographers, translators and designers have been preparing daily news informing visitors, participants, media and others about what was going on at the Festival and about upcoming events.

For the end, let us just add that the news have been written by the deaf themselves, therefore there may be some grammatical mistakes for which we apologize.

Dear visitors and artists at the festival “SALVIA”,
  
The European Festival of Deaf Culture and Arts “SALVIA” is held every other year in another country. At the end of the 5th Festival “SALVIA” in Belgium in 2008, Slovenia was selected as the next organizer of SALVIA 2010. This is the first European festival of art and culture of the Deaf in the small country of Slovenia.

Deaf  European artists are going to stage various performances and thus show to the Deaf, hard of hearing and other audiences how the culture of the Deaf is rich in its own way. Deaf artists express themselves by mime, facial expressions and body movements and thus convey their stories and the essence of their artistic creativity.

Deaf culture is very interesting also because of one peculiarity. The means of communication among the Deaf from different countries is the International Sign Language, supplemented by facial expressions and body movements.

We believe that our festival will make many people with hearing impairment and others  change their views of the world around them, and that they will get to understand what Deaf culture is and why the Deaf love to stage their performances, which are aimed at diverse audiences.

During the festival, the Deaf artists will attend morning workshops of pantomime, poetry, dance and theatre. Evenings will be enriched by their performances.

The performing artists in 13 theatrical groups (around 80 participants altogether) come from the following countries: Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Spain, two groups from the Czech Republic and two from Belgium, from Greece, Israel and Slovenia. Apart from the mentioned European countries, four Slovenian Societies for the Deaf will present themselves.

The festival events will express Deaf culture through a variety of genres: theatre, poetry, visual arts, comedy and dance. We hope that all that is going to grow into an artistic community, in which the Deaf will be able to experience the sense of community, solidarity and creativity.

Our festival will be a unique event in Slovenia, both for the Deaf and hard of hearing, as well as for all other participants.
